A seamless integration of intricate drum and bass grooves, colorful guitar melodies and dynamic improvisation, Zeugma delivers an unpredictable and energetic show that weaves through jazz, funk, blues, and Afro-Cuban idioms. The band’s diverse tastes reflect an array of fusion influences—from 1970s-vintage Jaco Pastorius, Frank Zappa, and Stanley Clarke to modern artists Mike Stern, Wayne Krantz, and Victor Wooten. The band also draws from a wealth of original material, featuring unconventional meters, poly-rhythmic interplay, cryptic harmonic shifts, and intense solos sections---all certain to attract an audience’s attention, and, at times, catch it off-guard.

Zeugma represents, in essence, a joining of musical styles and influences that creates a truly unique and original sound.

This little band from the DC area has some great tunes. The music, a mix of rock, some jazz and a touch of punk, includes some awesome guitar playing. The bass and drums are definitely up to snuff too. This band plays their instruments incredibly well, keeping some great rhythm in the music without ever getting too technical. Get this!

Aggressive jazz from this NYC trio! Featuring Dan Conway (MODEREKO) on bass, Zeugma's debut album is a thrilling ride through funky, frenetic jazz compositions. Fantastic interplay and improvisations! This is one great fusion trio, these guys ROCK!
